For Ennis, that meant that her bedroom on the opposite end of the house received the least damage. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the blaze before it spread to the entire house. By the time the Decatur Fire Department arrived, flames were already beginning to consume the north end of the home. A passerby noticed smoke coming from the single-wide mobile home Wednesday morning around 10 a.m. By BRIAN KNOX Not much was salvageable from Nancy Ennis’ home after Wednesday’s fire, but at least there was some good news.
